Tour description

As whales never fully sleep, we can expect to see the same whales as on our day tours, that is, the Eyjafjord Humpbacks, the occasional Minke whales, porpoises and even dolphins.

To make the tour even more enjoyable and memorable, we often shut down the boat engines to enjoy the soothing sound of the water, the whales and the birds. The 3  hr. Midnight Sun tour is ideal as a relaxing end of a busy day or as a beginning of a fun night in town. If you're in the mood for some light snacks or drinks, have a look at our onboard bar menu - we recommend the Whale Punch (rum infused hot chocolate)!

Although our success rate is high, the cetacean abundance is unpredictable and varies with the food availability of our shores. In case no whales or dolphins make an appearance on the tour, we will offer you a complimentary ticket to try again within 2 years!

Keep in mind

This is a wildlife excursion and as such we can never guarantee or predict sightings of any kind, but in case we don't encounter any whales or dolphins, we will offer you a return ticket so you can join us again another day (within 2 years) free of charge.

Please be aware that the weather can change rapidly in Iceland and therefore the captain could decide to alter or cancel the tour on short notice for safety reasons. In this case we will contact you as soon as possible.

We abide by a code of conduct for responsible whale watching, thus each encounter is on the animal's terms and distance may be kept to minimise disturbance.

  • great mountain views on either side of the fjord

This tour departs from the floating pier behind HOF in Akureyri.
